January 01 A new year!Howdy. Wow. We really need to get some new photos up. I'll have to get right on that. :) We had such a fun day at church today and spending time with friends. We are so blessed. We are also super excited as it looks like it might be possible for both of us to go on a mission trip with our church in April. At about this point in the letter, I'll just mention for anyone that might be wondering.... 'No,we don't have kids yet.' This just makes me smile because everyone is almost as excited as we are about the prospect of our having children someday. We have lots of snow around here these days, and we're kind of enjoying.......not having to mow the lawn.
We're making lots of new friends as well as keeping the old. We visit with friends from Living Grace (whom Dallas has known his whole life) and of course from River Valley Community Church. We also have had my family from out of town come stay with us a few times and had our first family Thanksgiving at our house with people from both the Burnham and Alberts families. That was really fun.
We started a new tradition---Darla and I---of making a dinner on Christmas Day for our families and anyone who happens to be free that day. It was lots of fun. I'm already inviting people for next year. Wanna come?
Becky is still enjoying working at Green Barley Nutrition Center. Her hours there are still part-time but have increased and she will be moving more into the marketing/networking aspect of the business this year. Her bosses are a mom and daughter team who are Christians and just great people to work with. She is also doing her job every Thursday as a personal cook for a business woman and her retired parents.
Dallas is working still for ReBath and frequently installs bath and shower enclosures in Twin Falls, Emmett, or past Ontario. He even recently flew to Salt Lake City for a couple days to learn how to intall walk-in bathtubs for folks who are at risk for falling in the tub. Dallas is doing very well as an installer there. Although he doesn't plan to stay in that position for the rest of his life, his eye for detail pays off in less service calls to fix things later. Bosses tend to like that.
We added a few pictures from our Thanksgiving with family near Portland.
